Commencement
Commencement is one of our most cherished traditions, one that marks a major milestone for you, your family and the faculty and staff who have supported your journey at Charlotte.
The University will hold ceremonies for our spring graduates on Friday, May 8, and Saturday, May 9. The ceremonies will take place in the Dale F. Halton Arena located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center. Please review the clear bag policy. Backpacks, umbrellas, balloons, banners, flags, signs and noisemakers are not permitted. After the graduation application deadline of February 12, 2026, the commencement committee will determine the commencement schedule.
