Tickets

Mobile ticket distribution begins today! Please note that all guests must have a ticket to enter the Student Activity Center (SAC). A child under the age of two and who will sit on a person’s lap does not need a ticket. 

• Ticket Reservation: Mobile tickets for Dec. 2024 Commencement are now available to reserve until 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2.
  • Undergraduate ceremonies: Friday 10 a.m. and Friday 3 p.m.
    Students may reserve up to seven (7) tickets. Only tickets reserved by the Monday, Dec. 2 deadline are guaranteed. 
  • Graduate ceremony: Saturday 3 p.m.
    Students may reserve up to seven (7) tickets. Only tickets reserved by the Monday, Dec. 2, deadline are guaranteed.
• Ticket Access: Tickets will be ready to access and transfer on Tuesday, Dec. 3. Each graduating student will receive a message from “Charlotte 49ers Athletics” with detailed instructions. This is the time when students sign back into their accounts and transfer tickets to guests. Any guest receiving transferred tickets will also need to create or sign in to an account with Charlotte 49er Athletics to access transferred tickets.
• Additional Tickets: Students will be notified on Wednesday, Dec. 4 if additional tickets are available.
• ADA Seating: ADA guest seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the ceremony.
  • If ADA seating is needed, guests must pick up an ADA pass in the SAC food court. One companion seat is available if needed. Staff will be available at the information tables to assist with securing an ADA pass. Once you enter the SAC, the information tables will be at each entrance.
• Arena Access: All guests need a ticket to enter the Student Activity Center (SAC). Doors open 90 minutes prior to the ceremony.
• Arena Policy: The arena has a clear bag policy. Backpacks, umbrellas and balloons are not permitted.
• Assembly Area: Only graduating students and commencement personnel are permitted in the commencement assembly and seating areas and may participate in the commencement procession and ceremony. If a personal assistant is required as a disability accommodation, please contact the Office of Disability Services.

To reserve your mobile tickets, complete the following steps:

• Visit Charlotte Athletics to access the Student Ticket page. 
• Select Sign In as Student. You will be redirected to the University Web Authentication page. Enter your NinerNET credentials if you have not done so already.
• You will be redirected to the My Account page. Select the Students button, then Commencement. Your ceremony/ceremonies will be displayed.

The last day to pick up your cap and gown at the campus bookstore is Friday, Dec. 6.
